Dr. Staneata is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy – Tirgu Mures, Romania. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at East Carolina University/Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. She then went on to complete further subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at OrthoCarolina Spine Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Staneata is an active member of the North American Spine Society, International Spine Intervention Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the North Carolina Medical Society. She is also certified in wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy by the National Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
Dr. Staneata is an Interventional Physiatrist, and specializes in comprehensive non-surgical management of the spine and other musculoskeletal conditions, including acute and chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, nerve pain, and joint pain. She is fellowship-trained to perform fluoroscopically-guided lumbar and cervical epidural injections, diagnostic nerve root blocks, facet joint injections, medial branch radiofrequency neurolysis, sacroiliac joint injections, and upper/lower extremity joint injections and arthrograms. She is also trained in performing nerve conduction studies and electromyography, spasticity management with botulinum toxin, phenol and baclofen pump management, wound care, debridement and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
